We imagine a world where every student in the Americas has access to international education, where they feel excited to be life-long global citizens, and where they can meet their neighbors from different countries with respect. We imagine a world where every language teacher is equipped with resources that spark intercultural confidence, connection, and curiosity as a way to support students’ international education. We bring the world to the classroom, increasing access to a global education for students across the Americas, ultimately leading to a more empathic and understanding world.
When it comes to international education, many students feel:
intimidated
Without models or others who have participated in international exchange, it can be intimidating to step outside of your culture and comfort zone.
financially strapped
With competing priorities, financial barriers are a main reason students do not have access to international exchange.
overwhelmed
International travel can be overwhelming without guidance. There are many logistical steps that can be prohibitive without know-how.
We increase access to international education, so students feel:
curious
Students are naturally curious. Educating students on different aspects of international travel and exchange encourages continued curiosity, eases anxiety and fears, and opens up future possibilities.
confident
Students and families are resilient and resourceful. Building know-how and confidence in financial planning, budgeting, and resources can help students overcome financial barriers.
connected
Students respond to role models. Modeling intercultural exchange, building international connections, and using language skills in real life, helps students to feel supported and motivated.
how do we increase access to international education?
The Cultura Connect Cohort is an international network of language teachers across the Americas who work together to build intercultural curiosity, connection, and confidence in the classroom. Each cohort participant receives access to free international education resources for immediate use, bringing the world to the classroom, and increasing access to a global education for students everywhere.
How can you get involved with the cohort?
Join the annual cohort to build intercultural curiosity, connection, and confidence between students through international community and free resources for your classroom.

Support equity in international education by partnering with us through volunteer and donation programs that support teachers and students across the Americas.
“For me, the most important part of educating is creating students that are going to be active, compassionate, and globally conscious. A kind person who contributes something meaningful to the world, and has a sense of agency that they can achieve what they want to create. International experiences are directly linked to that goal for me.”
